To Spot Clean Your Rug:
Remove solid debris with a spoon or dull edge. Blot liquid spills with a clean, dry cloth to absorb as much as possible.
Spray directly onto the stain until evenly covered. For tougher stains, let the solution sit for 1–2 minutes.
Gently work the cleaner into the fibers with a clean, white cloth or soft-bristle brush, then blot to lift the stain. Do not scrub hard or use stiff or wire brushes. Repeat as needed.
Let the area air-dry. No rinsing or washing is required.
As a Pre-wash Treatment:
Saturate the stain with cleaner, then machine wash according to your rug’s care instructions. For tougher stains, follow the spot-cleaning steps above before washing.
For Easy Care Wool Rugs:
Blot spills right away with a clean, dry, white cloth to absorb as much as possible
Test in an inconspicuous area
Mist a small amount onto the stain. Do not saturate the rug or apply Spot Cleaner to fringe
Blot with a clean, white cloth. Do not agitate, brush, rub, or scrub
Let the area air-dry completely
Cleaning Reference Guide:
Often removed: Wine, coffee, soy sauce, mustard, dirt, mud, urine/feces
May require multiple treatments: Hot sauce, ketchup, tomato sauce, olive oil
Unlikely to come out: Acrylic or oil paint
Do not use spot cleaners or stain remover sprays on Ruggable Pet Bed or Pillow insert covers (the fabric covers surrounding the filling or foam inserts)
Avoid Ruggable Spot Cleaner on products with water-repellent or specialty finishes
